The “award-winning” 5 M Purpose Journey was created by Dr. Cynthia Harper. A former student of “Going Places Network”, a women’s empowerment program sponsored by Walmart for Dress For Success, Cynthia was recognized for her exemplary leadership. After getting her voice back and being chosen as a delegate, she was tasked with creating a community action project, alongside a myriad of countries. With hard work and dedication, Dr. Harper’s project, the 5 M Purpose Journey was chosen 1st place among 20-30 countries. It has been said countless times, “It’s not how you start, but how you finish.” Finishing strong is the repayment for a life broken, and then restored. Like all women, we have a story of reinventing ourselves after life’s mishaps. Whether it’s going deeper into your faith, gender pay gap, lack of childcare, or emotional and medical crisis/unemployment; our cry is verbose and must be heard. Though escaping valley experiences is beyond our control, regardless of social economics, culture, or education, when given the right tools, women can overcome poverty. When women experience severe scarcity, society suffers negative effects. Maintaining healthy lifestyles for women is relevant for Lady Justice to embrace the embodiment of equality.
Being a recipient of both self-sufficiency and poverty, I can attest to the impact of the struggle. Therefore, my question is, “Should the suffrages of women be a burden on a few or should this immense movement be embraced by many?” Having experienced the climb of reinventing myself, I understand adversity. Being compelled to share my story, I decided to take it further to prevent and empower other women from defeat in times of trouble. Modeling mothership organization, Dress for Success, I desire to assist women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, housing, and development tools to help women thrive at work, life and escape poverty. Therefore, addressing five areas where many women find themselves struggling as they attempt to reinvent themselves; money, motivation, medical, mental Illness and metabolism
The 5M Purpose Journey: “Women Influencing Women” to Re-invent Themselves has five components: Money, Motivation, Medical, Mental Illness, and Metabolism. At the culmination of this project, five women, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities will be chosen and supported financially to participate in a Woman Business Incubator, (WBI) for existing and/or start-up businesses.
Mission: To create lifestyle changes for women’s empowerment
Goal: To help reduce poverty and restore women to self-sufficiency
Objective: To train through coaching and mentoring
Don’t Fight It Out, Work It Out is a diplomacy project for adolescents and young adults. Our goal is to reverse the curse of aggression; to work it out and not fight it out. This project is geared to teach students, the value of being diplomatic, and discussing issues rather than resulting in fighting. We teach children the value of critically thinking, assessing the situation, and being mindful of the result of aggressive behavior.
This program ensures this population their opinion matters however one must garner an understanding and agree to disagree. We also drive a point to them that confidence is believing in yourself and possessing integrity creates a platform for them to shine. True leadership is a mindfulness of the best for the environment. We teach that it is OK to have your opinion or think differently, and not follow the crowd, however, you do so with the spirit of servant leadership.
This program is also designed to teach students to be confident and believe in themselves, not allowing what is popular to become significant but to change that around and make what is significant to be popular. The goal is that our children will be unified and not disjointed for the battle ahead of them. This program requires group sessions, individual sessions, and there’s great rewards at the end.
PROBLEM/OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity to measure the temperament gaging the associate’s plan and posture for upward mobility within the company.
PROJECT/BENEFITS The benefits are to create a strategy for retaining associates, ultimately developing long-term partnerships.

• 4) Team Building Course, (3 Heart Vision Board)
• 5) Administer Postsurvey of the course
PROJECT OUTCOME The project outcome is to create a healthy environment for associates to thrive with personal and company goals.
